Overview
A high-efficiency horn system for an established Barcelona restaurant and venue, engineered for exceptional clarity across the full range of the space's programming — from intimate acoustic sets to high-SPL concerts and DJ nights.
The Challenge
Font del Gat operates across a wide range of formats and sound levels, from quiet lunches to outdoor concert nights. The challenge was to design a single system capable of performing convincingly across all of them, within the architectural constraints of a historic garden space.
Design Approach
We specified a high-efficiency horn-loaded system — chosen for its ability to project with precision and control at the acoustic distances involved. The horn enclosures were custom-designed to complement the character of the venue. Crossover tuning and acoustic calibration were carried out on-site across multiple sessions and use cases.
Final Result
The system now supports the full range of Font del Gat's programming with confidence. The sound is never intrusive during service, and never compromised during events. The horn aesthetic has become part of the visual identity of the outdoor space.
