Seda Audio was born from a shared obsession with sound. Growing up as part of the music scene in Barcelona, we built Rostro Soundsystem — an experimental cultural project to bring the warmth and presence of our record collections to the dancefloor. The technical lessons we learned, and the overwhelming response to the sound, convinced us to take our passion further.

As we studied how sound behaves in different environments, we noticed a common problem: the spaces we loved — clubs, restaurants, and cocktail bars — often suffered from compromised audio. Generic speakers were retrofitted into rooms, clashing with both the acoustics and the interior design.

We wanted to solve this. Expanding our focus into parametric modeling, material science, and acoustic engineering, we created a new approach. Today, guided by a custom-first philosophy, we design and hand-build systems that integrate naturally into their environments — ensuring a space sounds exactly as good as it looks.

Sound is spatial

A sound system is not a product you buy. It is a property of a space. Every room has its own acoustic character. The system should be designed around that, not placed in spite of it.

Collaboration is the process

The best projects happen when we are brought in early, before decisions are made that cannot be changed. We work best as part of a design team, not as a subcontractor at the end of one.

Directivity drives clarity

By focusing on directivity, we control how sound interacts with a space. To preserve the maximum amount of detail, sound should be deliberately focused on the listener, not splashed indiscriminately around the room.

Analog soul, digital precision

Analog where it matters, digital where it makes a difference. We believe in marrying classic and new technology to achieve the best of both worlds, leveraging the distinct character of analog components alongside the precise optimisation of digital processing.

Size matters

An oversized system that is not stressed intrinsically sounds better and lasts longer than a system that constantly needs to give it all. Generous acoustic headroom delivers an effortless, dynamic, and natural listening experience.

No audiophoolery

We don't sell unobtainium cables or mystify specific components. Systems must be engineered and treated as a cohesive whole, making the biggest investments exactly where they yield the most tangible, audible impact.
